To open XLS files one should follow a very simple procedure that begins with clicking the Open button on the File Menu. On the list found in the drive one should scroll up and down to the file to locate the file they are targeting. One should then double click on the particular XLS file they want to open. Once the file is found all that remains to be done is to either click Open or double click on the file and the contents will be available. All versions of Microsoft Excel ranging from the 97 version to the 2007 version can be used to open XLS file extensions.
